Did you know that Devos Group has been working with IFCO for years on its sustainable and reusable packaging solutions? With just IFCO packaging alone, Devos Group reduces no less than 213,457 kg of CO₂ emissions, which is equivalent to keeping approximately 154 cars off the road for an entire year.
Of course, Devos Group collaborates with all its partners to develop the most sustainable solutions. In addition, over the past few years, Devos Group has installed more than 10,000 solar panels on its buildings, which in itself accounts for a reduction of more than a million kilograms of CO₂ emissions!
Specifically, a total capacity of 2,750,000 kWh ensures that all our cooling systems can operate on this power, preventing more than a million kilograms of CO₂ from being released. Moreover, heat is recovered from these same cooling units—whether for short- or long-term storage—which is then used to heat all our workspaces.
Packaging remains a hot topic. Whether in plastic or cardboard, Devos Group strives to work as sustainably as possible and to minimize its ecological footprint. Thanks to our various box setup machines, we ensure that for every ten trucks carrying finished boxes, only one truck is needed to transport unfolded boxes.
Devos Group is also a pioneer in waste processing. Across all parts of our company, we focus on correctly sorting and processing various materials. Even fruit that cannot be consumed is sent to biomass power plants, where it is converted into green energy.
Our approximately 300-hectare area is maintained and cultivated with the utmost care for nature. In addition to the strictly regulated spraying schedules that our teams in the orchards must follow, we continue to make extensive use of natural solutions such as bees, grasses, wildflowers, and pollination.
